SRA regulation

WRS is authorised and regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) under SRA ID 8000728. You can verify our regulatory status on the SRA's public register.

The TransactionX software is a technology tool and is not, in itself, a reserved legal activity or a separately regulated product. Where TransactionX outputs are used by our solicitors as part of providing legal services to a client of WRS, those legal services are subject to the SRA Standards and Regulations and the SRA Code of Conduct.

Professional indemnity insurance

WRS holds professional indemnity insurance in accordance with the SRA Indemnity Insurance Rules. Details of our insurer and the territorial coverage of the policy are available on request — please contact us using the details below.

FCA scope (crypto price converter)

The crypto price converter and any historic price look-ups offered through TransactionX are provided for information only. They are not investment advice, a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any cryptoasset, or a regulated financial promotion within the meaning of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000. WRS is not authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) to carry on regulated activities in relation to cryptoassets.

Limitations of the service

TransactionX uses a combination of rule-based matching and AI models to help surface transactions in bank statements that may relate to cryptoasset activity. Outputs are indicative only, may contain false positives or false negatives, and must be reviewed by a suitably qualified professional before being relied on for any legal, regulatory, tax or evidential purpose.

Data protection roles

For account, billing and marketing data, WRS acts as controller. When a professional customer uploads bank statements about their own client or a subject of investigation, that customer is the controller and WRS acts as their processor on the documented instructions in our standard Data Processing Addendum. Sub-processors, processing locations and international-transfer safeguards are listed in our Privacy Policy. A copy of the DPA is available on request from dpo@wealthrecovery.co.uk.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with the TransactionX service or with legal services provided by WRS, please see our complaints procedure. You may also be entitled to refer an unresolved complaint to the Legal Ombudsman or to the SRA where the matter concerns conduct.
